Motörhead Legend A Big Loss to the Dwindling Rock World

As both of us are fans of Motörhead and the influence Lemmy has had on the rock world, we are sad to see such a legend pass in a world that is slowly losing it’s Rock icons to plastic pop and other crap.

“Lemmy” Kilmister’s funeral is to be streamed live on Motörheads official Youtube channel on Saturday 9th. The iconic Rock star is to be laid to rest in Hollywood in a private ceremony for family and friends. On the bands official Facebook Page it states that the funeral is to be broadcast live from Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Hollywood at 3 p.m. PST, coming to a close at 4.30 p.m.

Also around Hollywood where we would both love to be on Saturday, there will be celebrations of Lemmy’s life in places such as The Roxy, Whisky A Go Go and The Rainbow Bar and Grill. Though it’s a sad occasion it should be celebrated in style and lunacy the way Lemmy would like it.

Fun Fact

Lukas has been a Motörhead fan most of his life and is a huge Hard Rock fan, where as I came to know the music of Motörhead and Lemmy through wait for it… WWE. Yep, that’s right, WWE wrestling.

Lemmy was a huge WWE fan and he got involved with the music production for the show by singing and performing the music for Hunter Hearst Helmsley better known as ‘Triple H, The Game’ and provided the entrance music ‘It’s All About The Game’ for him. Both Triple H and the band are great friends. You should check out Motörhead performing ‘It’s All About The Game’ live at Wrestlemania 17 in 2001 and also at Wrestlemania 21 awesome. The band have also performed and recorded other music for WWE which is pretty cool.
